LAWTON, OK (RNN Texoma) - Santa made a special trip to Lawton Sunday afternoon for the third annual Christmas event at the Mattie Beal home.
He stopped by to visit with families and take photos with kids. There, families were also able to do holiday crafts with the Cameron University History Club, take a tour of the home, and get free candy canes.
“Christmas time of the year, fun activities for the entire family, not just for the children, but the entire family can come out and have fun, and then also find out about a lot of history right here, that happened here in this home.” said Sherene Williams, marketing director on the Lawton Heritage Association board of directors at the Mattie Beal Home.
Admission at Sunday’s event was five dollars. That money will go towards upkeep maintaining the Mattie Beal Home as well as different activities they host.
