Altus residents to vote on two school bonds
The Altus Public School Board voted Wednesday to send two school bond propositions to a public vote.

ALTUS, OK (RNN Texoma) - The Altus Public School Board voted Wednesday to send two school bond propositions to a public vote.

The first proposition would cost $4.69 million and would be used to put in safe rooms at Altus Early Childhood Center and Altus Primary Center. It would also make improvements to the track at Altus Junior High, renovate Kiwanis Park and improve the playground equipment at several schools. New security systems would also be installed at all schools that need them.

The second proposition would cost $1.131 million and would go toward transportation, such as student activity buses.

Both propositions will be on the March 5th ballot.
