Juvenile arrested after Friday morning police chase

LAWTON, OK (TNN) - A man is in custody, and another is on the run after they got into a chase with police Friday morning. The Lawton Police Department said it happened when they were responding to a burglary call on the 2400 block of NW Robinhood.

Police said the driver of a Jeep Grand Cherokee took off when they tried to stop him. The driver stopped at 12th and Lincoln Avenue, and the two men inside got out and started running from police. The report said police were able to catch up with one of the suspects, but the other one got away.

The suspect they caught is a juvenile. He was taken to the Juvenile Detention Center where he was booked for Second Degree Burglary, Resisting a Police Officer, Possession of Firearm after Former Felony Conviction, and outstanding warrants.

Police did not release a description of the man who got away.
