WICHITA FALLS, TX (TNN) - Wichita Falls Police have arrested a man they say was paid $30 to mow a lawn, but broke into the house instead while the resident was running errands.
In newly released court documents, police say 32-year-old Aaron Saldana broke into the home in the 5300 block of Montreal Drive on April 28, 2018.
Saldana was hired by the resident to mow the lawn. Saldana thought he was alone on the property when he went into the home through an unlocked back door.
A friend of the resident was inside sleeping at the time, and says she heard Saldana rummaging through the house. At first, she thought the noises were caused by her friend or another roommate. Saldana then opened the door into the bedroom where the witness was laying down.
Warrants were issued for Saldana’s arrest last week. He’s been charged with Burglary of a Habitation, a second degree felony.
As of Friday afternoon, Saldana no longer appears on the Wichita County Jail inmate roster.
