Cold temperatures settle in for the weekend

First Alert Forecast

LAWTON, OK (TNN) - It is a chilly start to your Saturday morning with temperatures in the mid to upper 30s and lower 40s. Feel like temperatures are in the 30s as winds sit out of the north at 10-20mph. We also have quite a bit of cloud cover all across Texoma this morning, which will keep our temperatures consistently in the 30s and 40s. This afternoon high temperatures will only be in the low to mid 40s with winds still out of the north at 15-25mph and gusts up to 30. It will be a cold and cloudy start to the weekend.

Tomorrow more of the same conditions will be sticking around with overnight lows in the upper 20s and lower 30s. We will see a little break in the cloud cover tomorrow morning, but expect partly cloudy skies to stick around throughout Sunday afternoon. High temperatures tomorrow afternoon will be in the low to mid 40s.

Temperatures on Monday will start on a warming trend with highs in the upper 40s and lower 50s. We will also see more sunshine return Monday afternoon. Tuesday, a few more clouds will build in but temperatures will finally jump into the mid 50s.

Wednesday, a weak cold front will move through Texoma. This front won’t alter temperatures much, and no precipitation is expected. Highs Wednesday afternoon will be in the low to mid 50s under mostly sunny skies.

Thursday afternoon high temperatures will be in the mid to upper 50s with some possible lower 60s south of the Red River. Friday afternoon is when more 60 degree temperatures are expected all throughout Texoma. We may also see a few chances for some rain later in the evening on Friday as a strong cold front with some polar air moves into Texoma.
