First Alert 7 Forecast: a couple of cold fronts will impact temperatures this week

LAWTON, OK (TNN) - A mainly dry forecast is expected but there will be some big ups and downs with our temperatures.

Partly cloudy and breezy this evening through tonight. Expect south winds 15-25 mph, even late tonight as temperatures fall to 50 by 8PM and the mid 40s tomorrow morning. Ahead of a cold front, south winds will be breezy in the morning and lots of clouds will develop, along with a chance of drizzle in eastern counties. Highs will likely be reached around midday or early afternoon before north winds arrive and temperatures fall from the 50s to 40 by 5PM.

Skies will clear quickly later tomorrow into tomorrow night and lows will drop into the mid 20s by Wednesday morning. Sunny skies and lighter winds on Wednesday with highs close to 50. Another dry cold front will pass through Thursday but highs should reach the 50s before north winds arrive. Mostly sunny and cool on Friday with highs in the mid 40s to near 50.

Another cold front may move through Saturday with lots of clouds and north winds. Highs in the upper 40s and lows in the low 30s. Temperatures may jump back into the 50s to near 60 on Sunday before another cold front arrives on Monday. Although, there will be several cold fronts over the next week, this type of pattern does not favor moisture, so no precipitation chances are expected right now.

Have a great evening!
