LAWTON, OK (TNN) - A strong storm system will bring a fast moving round of showers and high winds to start the weekend.
Mostly cloudy this evening into tonight with temperatures falling into the mid 40s by 8PM and upper 30s overnight. Temperatures may rise to around 40 by 7AM. Lots of low clouds tomorrow with a chance of drizzle and a few showers. Highs in the low to mid 50s.
Tomorrow night, a quick moving round of showers & possibly a few storms will arrive ahead of a cold front and dryline. This round of rain will end between 4-8AM. Lows in the 40s. Turning sunny and very windy on Saturday with highs in the low 60s. A high wind watch is in effect for southwest to west winds 30-45 mph, gusting to 55-60 mph. The fire danger will be high as well.
Winds will lighten up Saturday night as lows drop to the upper 20s. Sunny and nice on Sunday with highs in the upper 50s. Mild to start next week as highs climb into the 60s Monday & Tuesday. Colder air will move back in from mid to late next week and could stick around for several days. Highs will dip back to the 40s.
