First Alert 7 Forecast: strong winds will take awhile to calm down

LAWTON, OK (TNN) - A high wind warning remains in effect through 1AM tonight. Overall, a quiet stretch of weather is on the way.

Mostly clear and windy this evening into tonight. Temperatures falling into the upper 50s by 9PM and upper 30s to low 40s tomorrow morning. Southwest winds gusting to 50-60 mph shifting to the west to northwest late tonight. Mostly sunny but windy again tomorrow. Highs in the upper 50s with northwest winds 20-30 mph. Breezy winds and chilly temperatures tomorrow night. Lows in the low 30s.

Mostly sunny from Friday into the weekend and the winds will be much lighter. Highs in the mid 50s Friday & Saturday and low 60s Sunday. Lows in the 30s. More clouds are expected to move in from early to mid next week but we should stay dry. Highs in the mid 60s Monday and low 60s Tuesday and Wednesday.
