LAWTON, OK (TNN) - Business professionals in Lawton are now better equipped with communication skills to use in the workplace.
That’s thanks to a workshop at the Great Plains Technology Center.
Tuesday was the third of a twelve part series held by the Artes Pro Vita Academy.
Tuesday’s workshop focused on bridging the communications gap between employees of all ages by using active listening, making eye contact, reading facial expressions and body language, and also asking more open-ended questions.
“What our workshops are about, is not only recognizing what is important and why and how, but most importantly, how to take it with you," said Meegam Kriley-MacKay, founder and CEO of Artes Pro Vita Academy.
The next workshop is April 10th at Great Plains Technology Center. It’s thirty dollars a person for a three hour training session and it qualifies as a professional development training for many of the industries in Lawton.
