LAWTON, OK (TNN) - The Oklahoma Medical Examiner’s Office has released the autopsy report for a five-month-old Lawton girl whose death was ruled a homicide.
Christian Rowson is accused of killing his infant daughter, Alayne Rowson, late last year.
Her autopsy report was turned over to the Comanche County District Attorney Thursday. It says the girl died from blunt force trauma to her head.
Authorities say Rowson told them he was playing video games when the baby began to cry. He reportedly laid her on her stomach and hit her in the back of the head.
Investigator say he called 911 when he noticed the child was not breathing.
She was pronounced dead at a hospital a short time later.
Rowson is charged with first degree murder and is set to appear in court again at the end of the month.
