LAWTON, OK (TNN) - Sodexo has announced the winner of the future chef culinary competition.
After forty-one submissions, they came down to 10 finalists and 4th grader Nora Diallo was Thursday’s winner.
Diallo's winning recipe was a taco lettuce wrap.
She will move on to a pool of over 200 people, where 40 will be picked to take part in regionals. From regionals, the final round consists of only five finalists.
“The five finalists get to make a three to four minute video and it gets put on Sodexo.net for people to vote on. So the winner with the most votes are the healthiest recipe actually wins the competition," said Jacqueline Fields, Area executive chef of Sodexo K-12 division.
Last year’s winner from Lawton made it to nationals and won the whole competition. She was the first national winner from Oklahoma.
