Book sale to benefit Elgin Community Library

ELGIN, OK (TNN) - The Friends of the Elgin Community Library’s book sale wrapped up at six Friday night, and continues Saturday.

The sale kicked off Friday and volunteers say there has been a great turnout.

The books are 50 cents for paperback or $1 for hard covers.

They have any kind of book you can think of, from children’s books to cook books and biographies, and better yet, every purchase helps them keep the community library up and running.

“To purchase books and crafts and all the activities that the Elgin library provides for this community. Not only Elgin, but Sterling, Fletcher, Cyril, all those around. It’s a great fundraiser for us and we have a lot from the communities that participate," said Beverly Kirkpatrick with the Friends of the Elgin Community Library.

It will continue Saturday from 9 in the morning to noon.

The sale is happening at the Connection Church on Northeast Windy Road.

The group says its has thousands of books for all ages.
