First Alert 7 Forecast: a big warming trend ahead of a strong cold front that will arrive late in the week

LAWTON, OK (TNN) - A Spring-like week is ahead with a warming trend and storm chances for parts of Texoma.

Skies will turn mostly clear this evening into tonight with temperatures in the mid 50s by 9PM and low 40s by morning. Mostly sunny tomorrow and nice with a southeast breeze and highs around 70. Stronger south winds will develop Wednesday & Thursday. Expect partly cloudy skies each day, highs in the low 70s Wednesday and upper 70s on Thursday. Lows in the 40s to 50s.

Friday, a storm system will approach the area, and a dryline may set up in Texoma near Hwy 81 or I-44. A few isolated strong to severe storms are possible late Friday afternoon and evening, mainly near and east of the dryline. Otherwise, skies will be mostly sunny west to mostly cloudy east. Very warm with highs in the 80s.

A strong cold front will move through Friday night, leading to a cooler weekend. Partly cloudy Saturday with highs in the upper 50s and lows in the low 40s. Mostly sunny on Sunday with highs in the mid 50s. Morning lows may dip into the 30s, leading to patchy frost.

Have a great evening!
