LAWTON, OK (TNN) - Police are investigating after a pickup caused a three car crash and then ran through a home in east Lawton.

Emergency responders were sent to the scene just west of SE 45th and Lee Blvd around 11:45 Wednesday morning.

According to police, they are still investigating what happened but witnesses tell them a truck was traveling south on 45th Street. The truck clipped the front end of another vehicle and slammed into the back of another car before turning west on Lee Blvd.

The truck then appears to have left the roadway and traveled nearly 100 feet off the road before slamming into a home. The driver ended up deep inside the home after the wreck.

Three ambulances were called to the scene and transported patients from both the original wreck and the truck inside the home.

The resident inside the home said he was in another room when he heard a loud boom. He was not injured in the incident.

Lawton Police Department Public Information Officer Timothy Jenkins says the traffic division will be on scene most of the afternoon attempting to determine exactly what happened and what caused the driver to lose control of the truck.
