First Alert 7 Forecast: Heavy rain expected tomorrow but we’ll salvage the second half of the weekend

LAWTON, OK (TNN) - Tomorrow will be a wash-out but we’ll see the sunshine return quickly on Sunday.

Clouds will continue to thicken up this evening but any rain and storms will hold off until after midnight. Temperatures in the mid 50s by 9PM with lows in the low to mid 40s. Rain will become widespread between 3-6AM and last throughout the entire day tomorrow. Rain will be heavy at times and totals will range from an inch to 2 inches, with isolated higher totals possible. Rain will taper off between 10PM-3AM tomorrow night and skies will clear Sunday morning. Lows in the mid 30s. Sunday afternoon will be mostly sunny with highs in the low to mid 60s.

Much warmer temperatures and stronger winds are expected Monday and Tuesday. Monday will be mostly sunny with highs in the low 80s but more clouds will move in Tuesday. Highs near 80. Gusty south winds both days and also into Wednesday. For Wednesday, we’ll be ahead of another strong cold front and highs should reach the low 80s. There is a slight chance of a shower or storm.

The cold front will move in Thursday morning and highs will stay in the mid 60s. Lows in the upper 40s. Friday looks nice under mostly sunny skies and with highs near 70.
