Community received free screenings to protect against cancer

LAWTON, OK (TNN) -The community was able to get a free neck and head screening at the Leah M. Fitch Cancer Center.

This is an annual event that has been taking place for six years. People were able to walk in, as well as make appointments beforehand. It was a quick process with screenings lasting less than five minutes.

Chief Operating Officer, Lane Hooton said it’s important to get checked.

“If you have any symptoms at all that don’t seem to go away in your throat, your tongue, your mouth, this is what you need to do. If you don’t see your own physician you certainly should have the chance to come here and see a specialist in this area," said Hooton.

They will be offering a free skin screening in May.
