First Alert Forecast

Strong to severe storms are expected tomorrow afternoon

First Alert 7 Forecast

LAWTON, OK (TNN) -Good morning Texoma! Temperatures this morning are very similar to what we saw for the start of Monday, with a lot of places in the mid to upper 50s. Cloud cover continues to build in this morning, and mostly cloudy skies will accompany us into the afternoon. This will keep high temperatures slightly cooler than yesterday. Most places will see highs in the mid to upper 70s. Winds this afternoon will be on the stronger side, out of the south at 15-30mph. This will bring moisture northward, which will stick around till tomorrow. Overnight lows heading into Wednesday morning will be in the low to mid 60s.

Tomorrow morning and early afternoon sunshine will return, and help get our atmosphere warmed up for storms during the afternoon. Right now, for tomorrow, there is an enhanced risk for severe weather issued in far eastern Texoma, and a slight risk issued for central and northern part of the viewing area. The biggest threat right now is very large hail up to 2″ or greater. Strong wind gusts up to 70mph and a few tornadoes can’t be ruled out. High temperatures tomorrow afternoon will be in the low 80s.

Thursday and Friday we will clear out but temperatures will be on the colder side due to the cold front that will be moving through early Thursday morning. Highs Thursday will be in the upper 60s and Friday the mid to upper 70s.

Easter Weekend is looking very nice with lots of sunshine and warmer temperatures. Highs Saturday and Sunday will be in the mid 80s.
