    Robin Boudiette, a Cameron student and member of the university’s award-winning Comanche Battalion Army ROTC unit, has earned national recognition as the U.S. Army Cadet Command Cadet of the Week. “I grew up in a military family, so while watching my dad wear the uniform day in and day out, I learned that there was no greater honor than becoming a soldier in the world’s greatest army,” Boudiette says.

    Goodwill held its third annual benefit golf tournament today at the Lawton Country Club. It raises money for their programs such as youth services, career development, and workforce development. Vice President Missy Beets said this is so they can help even more people next year.

    A Fort Sill soldier is recovering following a rollover crash near Chickasha. It happened early Sunday morning just after 4:00 a.m. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the soldier was headed east on I-44 when he fell asleep behind the wheel. His vehicle ran off the road, hit an embankment then rolled into the westbound lanes where it was hit by a pickup truck. One person in the truck was taken to the hospital for an unrelated medical issue.

    Students, teachers, and players in the Altus community are mourning the loss of one of a beloved coach today. Janice Beach Hardwick, the Altus assistant girls basketball coach died Saturday surrounded by family and friends. Altus Public Schools She began coaching in 1974 in Texas and for the past 7 years, she's been teaching and coaching at Altus. A Funeral Service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the First Baptist Church in Altus.

    Adam Cummings, the Duncan man accused of punching his one-month-old infant daughter in the face, has pleaded guilty.  Originally, he entered a not guilty plea in a Stephens County Court for a child abuse by injury charge but has since accepted a plea agreement. According to court documents, Cummings originally told police that the baby had fallen off the bed. However, that was inconsistent with her injuries.

    Alex Klingler was charged with 15 counts in Grady County District Court today. Court documents say that Klingler is facing three counts of assault and battery with a deadly weapon, 11 counts of shooting with intent to kill and one count of maiming. The affidavit states that Klingler admitted to a family member that he fired at officers because he "did not want to go to jail for the assault."
