    There was a house fire in the 700 block of West Pecan shortly after noon today in Altus. Altus Fire and Police Departments responded to the scene. When they arrived, the house was almost completely engulfed. According to the resident of the property, he left the home only for a short time to get items for Thanksgiving. He has no idea what may have caused the fire. There was no one injured as a result of this fire. The cause remains under investigation.

    Around 200 turkeys were given away in Lawton today by citizens who simply wanted to help those in need. Several businesses and organizations in town were set up on Cache Road for three hours today giving away the turkeys.     Five local charities have a few thousand dollars extra to help the community thanks to Classic Lawton Chevy's annual golf tournament. You may remember 7NEWS's Matt DiPirro and Makenzie Burk taking part in the tournament last month. Today, we learned it brought in $35,000! The money was split five ways between the Comanche County Memorial Hospital, the Lawton Food Bank, Habitat for Humanity, CASA, and the Fort Sill Holiday Food Voucher Program.

The Tulsa World reports that District Attorney Steve Kunzweiler requested the exam Monday for Michael Bever. The Tulsa County judge delayed ruling on the request until hearing further arguments next month.

They say the child grabbed a vial of PCP that was in the home and swallowed it. It's unclear how much the boy ate, but it was enough to send him into unconsciousness and make him unresponsive. Another relative who was in the apartment at the time immediately called for help, which neighbors credit for saving the child's life.
