ORLANDO, Okla. (AP) - Police say a brawl involving about 30 people left the Cowboy Travel Plaza off Interstate 35 damaged.
The trouble at the store near the I-35 interchange with Oklahoma Highway 51 began when a fight broke out early Friday morning. Payne County Sheriff R.B. Hauf said says his office was called shortly before 3 a.m.
The sheriff says the brawlers all cleared out before any of the four sheriff's patrol cars could arrive.
Hauf says the brawlers knocked over displays, threw drinks around and damaged a wall. Damage is estimated at less than $2,500.
The store is about halfway between Oklahoma City and Ponca City.
