OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - The Oklahoma City Thunder are giving $1 million for tornado relief, matching an identical pledge by star player Kevin Durant. The Thunder announced yesterday that they'll give $1 million to the American Red Cross, the Salvation Army and other relief organizations following Monday's deadly tornado in suburban Oklahoma City. The NBA and the players' union also are donating to the relief efforts.

NORMAN, Okla. (AP) - Oklahoma football coach Bob Stoops says a graduate assistant and a strength coach had their homes destroyed in the tornado that hit suburban Oklahoma City. Stoops also says he doesn't know of any Sooners players or their families who were hurt in Monday's twister. Stoops says his family saw the tornado through the back window of their home.

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - The Big 12 has delayed the start of its baseball tournament in Oklahoma City after this week's deadly tornado. The league has announced the tournament will change from a double-elimination format to pool play and will start tomorrow instead of today. Conference spokesman Bob Burda says Oklahoma City leaders asked the Big 12 not to cancel the tournament.

TULSA, Okla. (AP) - The Tulsa Shock have waived guard Scholanda Dorrell ahead of the start of the regular season. Dorrell is the third Shock player cut this week who started games for the team last season. One more player must be cut by tomorrow.
