OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) - Tiago Splitter tipped in a rebound with 2.1 seconds left, lifting the short-handed San Antonio Spurs to a 104-102 victory over the Golden State Warriors last night. San Antonio gave Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili the night off to rest, and Tony Parker also sat out for the second straight game with a bruised right shin. The Spurs still managed to get the road win, using big nights from Marco Belinelli, Kawhi Leonard and Patty Mills to hand the Warriors another devastating defeat in a rematch of last season's Western Conference semifinals.
DALLAS (AP) - Jamie Benn and Colton Sceviour scored goals 15 seconds apart in the first period last night, leading the Dallas Stars to a 4-1 victory over the Vancouver Canucks. Erik Cole had a goal and two assists, and Tyler Seguin and Rich Peverley added two assists apiece for the Stars. Dallas goalie Kari Lehtonen made 26 saves and allowed only one goal for his 100th win with the Stars.
SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Brandon Taylor scored 18 points and Jordan Loveridge had 14 points and 10 rebounds to lead Utah to a 69-50 victory over Texas State last night. Emani Gant scored 16 points on 7-of-10 shooting for Texas State (3-8).
EL PASO, Texas (AP) - John Bohannon scored 10 points, grabbed 13 rebounds and had six assists to lead UTEP over Northwestern State 84-74 last night. Bohannon picks up his second double-double in a row and the 13th of his career. McKenzie Moore led UTEP (6-5) with 17 points.. Three others scored in double figures for the Miners.
