About KSWO-TV
The year was 1953. The place - Lawton, Oklahoma. After years of planning, the dreams of five prominent business executives and professional men became a reality. If not for the vision of these men, R.H. Drewry, J.R. Montgomery, T.R. Warkentin, Robert P. Scott and G.G. Downing, KSWO-TV would not be here today.
Since 1953, KSWO-TV has been locally owned and operated and has served Southwest Oklahoma and North Texas with pride and enthusiasm. For more than 50 years, KSWO-TV has gone through many changes, but one thing has never changed -- its complete dedication to weather and news coverage.

Things have changed from back in 1953. Although we're still very much KSWO-TV, we're also called "Your 7-News Station" to reflect our strong news brand. By the way, we were the third city in the state of Oklahoma to begin broadcasting. Pioneers, YES!
