Lawton schools cancelled for Friday

UNDATED-- Lawton school parking lots will stay empty again for yet another day.  Many neighborhood streets improved greatly Thursday but some are still in bad shape.  That and the likelihood that much of the melting water will refreeze overnight  has once again has prompted several area schools, including Lawton, to cancel or delay classes again for Friday. 

As you'll remember Lawton Public Schools used their two allotted winter weather days in December.  That means all the days missed this week will have to be made up.  LPS tells 7 News that it has many options to make up the hours missed but haven't decided yet how they will approach it.
