    LAWTON, OK (KSWO)- The Lawton Police Department was involved in a brief chase this morning. The vehicle pursuit began somewhere in the vicinity of 38th Street and Rogers Lane. Police pursued the vehicle until it hopped a curb and ran through a fence into the yard of a residence at 61st St and Maple. A witness stated that the car was stolen.     LAWTON, OK (KSWO)- Lawton Correctional Facility and the Lawton Police Department Special Operations recently led a joint investigation aimed at uncovering contraband at the prison. As a result, $1000 in cash, 59.2 grams of marijuana, Alprazolam pills, Oxycodone pills, and a cellphone were taken from the yard last December.  The investigation also presented sufficient evidence for a search warrant of the residence of a former nurse at Lawton Correctional Facility. Marijuana...

    ALTUS, OK (KSWO)- The City of Altus has a few options for Christmas tree disposal:  Take it to the landfill. If you take your Christmas tree to the landfill. Bring a copy of a recent utility bill and a photo ID and dumping fees can be waived.  Use it as firewood.   Cut into pieces and leave near alley for bulk trash pick-up. Tree limbs should be cut into 3-foot lengths. Christmas trees must be placed on your side of the alley along your property line only...
