KIOWA COUNTY, Okla. - A former member of the KSWO weather team died Sunday, and preliminary autopsy reports say the cause of death was accidental drowning.
OHP says meteorologist Dave Wallace was fishing at Tom Steed Reservoir in Kiowa County, when it appears his boat went under the water and later resurfaced in front of another fisherman. Troopers discovered Wallace's body in the bottom of the boat.
He was a meteorologist at KSWO for many years, both in the 80's and 1990's. He passed away Sunday at the age of 62. Our thoughts are with his family and friends.
