Lawton Homicides Climb to Number 15-Woman Found Dead in Her Apartment

LAWTON, Okla._

Lawton Police are investigating an overnight murder after they were called to Sanders Heights Apartments just before midnight Saturday on what was initially called in as a possible suicide.

Police said when they arrived they found Tanya Zachary on the floor of her apartment covered in blood and ruled her death a homicide.

Police said Zachary's two children have been placed in DHS custody. The details of her death have not been released.
