PSO to reduce fuel costs to customers

TULSA, Okla. (AP) - Customers of Public Service Company of Oklahoma soon will be seeing slightly lower utility bills.

Tulsa-based PSO announced Friday it will reduce the fuel costs by 3.93% resulting in a savings of $3.13 on the bill of residential customers who use 1,000 kilowatt hours per month.

The company says it's reducing the charge because of the continued decline in the price of natural gas.

The fuel cost is the actual cost PSO pays for the gas it uses to generate electricity.

PSO has about 527,000 utility customers in eastern and southwestern Oklahoma.
