Oklahoma confirms first swine flu case

Oklahoma City (AP) _ Oklahoma health officials say they have identified the first confirmed case of swine flu in Oklahoma.   The patient in Pontotoc County in southeast Oklahoma wasn't hospitalized and has fully recovered.

Dr. Kristy Bradley says the patient is an adult woman who became ill after returning from a trip to Mexico.   Bradley says the woman recognized she had flu-like symptoms and stayed home and health officials don't think the illness spread.

Bradley says four more "probable" specimens taken from patients have been sent to the federal centers for disease control for testing.

Oklahoma joins 38 other states with cases of swine flu confirmed through the cdc.
