Tulsa, Okla. (AP) _ Dozens of people have lined up outside a Tulsa church to pay last respects to former University of Oklahoma and NBA basketball star Wayman Tisdale, who died last week after a long battle with cancer. The public viewing was being held Wednesday at the Friendship Baptist Church.
Some of those in line had been waiting for more than two hours before the doors were opened at 1 p.m. Nearby streets were clogged with cars.
Inside the church, the open casket was surrounded by photos from his basketball and musical careers. A guitar was also in the casket.
Tisdale died Friday at age 44.
