COMANCHE COUNTY, Okla. - The Comanche County Health Department has received more H1N1 flu vaccine, about 3500 doses, for the counties of Comanche, Caddo, Cotton, and Kiowa, says Administrative Director Keith Reed.
Reed says they will distribute those doses according to county population, most of which will remain in Comanche County. Some will be going to medical providers for those patients who are pregnant, children and teens with underlying health conditions (toddlers through age 18), and to health care providers coming into direct contact with patients.
The Schools that will receive the vaccine, Tuesday, will be Lawton's Country Club Heights and Geronimo Road Elementary Schools. Seasonal flu vaccine is limited. The latest doses arrived late last week and some are still available at the health department.
