Local schools earn national recognition

Lawton_Cleveland Elementary and Wilson Elementary have earned national recognition from the Alliance for a Healthier Generation.  The Alliance is a collaboration between the William Clinton Foundation and the American Heart Association. The purpose is to promote health and wellness in our schools.

The schools will recognized at the national conference on June 15 in New York City for attaining the bronze level of achievement. They have implemented policy, curriculum and procedural changes at their schools that will impact both physical activity and better nutrition for their students.  Congratulations to the physical education teachers and principals of these two schools.
