2 inmates injured at Okla. prison

FORT SUPPLY, Okla. (AP) - Prison officials say two inmates were injured during a possible stabbing at William S. Key Correctional Center in Fort Supply.

Prison spokeswoman Donna Burkhalter says the incident occurred about 8:15 p.m. Wednesday and was isolated to the two men in 1 of the housing units.

One inmate, Nakiya Waeltz, was taken by medical helicopter to a hospital where he was listed in serious but stable condition. Burkhalter declined to identify the hospital where Waeltz was taken because of "security concerns."

The other inmate, Lance Stick, was transported to Woodward Regional Hospital where he was treated for minor cuts and released. Burkhalter says Stick is now back at William S. Key.

Burkhalter said an investigation is under way to determine what happened.
