UPDATE: Former LFD Asst. Marshal killed in bar shooting

Medicine Park_Tim Taylor, the former Assistant Fire Marshal with the Lawton Fire Department was shot to death at the Park Tavern.

This statement was sent by the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation regarding the shooting:

"The Comanche Co. Sheriff's Office requested OSBI assistance in an overnight shooting at a bar in Medicine Park. Just after midnight, bar employees at the Park Tavern bar at 196 E. Lake Dr. escorted Charles Timothy Taylor, 52 of Lawton, outside the bar since several patron had complained about his behavior. Once outside, Taylor pulled a knife and tried to stab bar employees and patrons. These individuals ran inside the bar, locked the doors, and called 911 and the bar's owner. The bar's owner arrived to the scene moments before police. By this time, Taylor had returned with a firearm. The bar's owner was also armed with a firearm. A small crowd of bar patron's gathered outside the bar. Taylor began firing his weapon at them and inside the bar. The bar's owner fired back killing Taylor. OSBI agents spent the night interviewing individuals at the bar and processing the scene for evidence. The district attorney will decide if any charges will be filed in this case."
