Tickets on sale for Miranda Lambert concert on Ft. Sill

Undated_Tickets went on sale Friday, May 6,  for the 2011 Army Concert Tour featuring this year's best female vocal performer, and winner of numerous American Country Music awards, Miranda Lambert. Special guests include country music legend Merle Haggard and red original Stoney LaRue, who will kick-off the Fort Sill Independence Day celebration with the concert July 2 on the Polo Field.

The concert is open to the public and tickets are available at area Stripes convenience stores, Crutcher's Western Wear, Mega Cleaners and online at On Fort Sill, tickets are available at the Welcome Center in 4700 Mow-Way Road, Twin Oaks Bowling Center, the Impact Zone and Little Java Café. Advanced ticket price is $35 and tickets will cost $40 at the gate.   The gates open at 6 p.m. and the show starts at 6:20 p.m.

Miranda Lambert first got the attention of country music fans in 2006 with her fiery debut single, "Kerosene," which won her the 2006 Academy of Country Music Top New Female Artist award. She has gone on to win 13 more awards – four of them at this year's Academy of Country Music awards April 3.  She earned her second consecutive female vocalist award, while "The House That Built Me," claimed hardware in the single, song and video categories.
