ATLANTA (AP) - Kevin Durant scored 30 points and the Oklahoma City Thunder won for the 11th time in 12 games, holding off the Atlanta Hawks 101-92 last night. Russell Westbrook was held to 14 points on 6-of-21 shooting, though he did sink an impressive reverse layup with 1:41 remaining to help finish off Atlanta. Durant made 9 of 21 from the field and 11 of 15 free throws.
TULSA, Okla. (AP) - James Woodard scored 19 points and Shaquille Harrison 13 with seven assists as Tulsa broke open a close game in the second half for a 78-64 victory over Arkansas-Little Rock on Tuesday. Will Neighbour finished with 15 points and 10 rebounds for the Trojans (3-5).
NORMAN, Okla. (AP) - Oklahoma sophomore guard Je'lon Hornbeak will miss the next four to six weeks because of a broken bone in his left foot. Sooners coach Lon Kruger says Hornbeak was hurt in practice and the injury will not require surgery. The 6-foot-4 Hornbeak is averaging 5.7 points, 2.3 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.1 steals in 21 minutes per game as a reserve for the Sooners (8-1). Oklahoma hosts Tulsa on Saturday.
SECAUCUS, N.J. (AP) - The Connecticut Sun won the top pick in the WNBA draft lottery on Tuesday. The Tulsa Shock earned the second pick with the San Antonio Silver Stars getting the third choice and the New York Liberty receiving the fourth pick. Top prospects in this year's draft include Chiney Ogwumike of Stanford, Odyssey Sims of Baylor and Alyssa Thomas of Maryland.
