LINDSAY, Okla. (AP) - The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a Lindsay teenager was killed and three other teens were injured in an accident on a Garvin County road.

Troopers say 13-year-old Shey Elledge died of a head injury at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City about 9:40 a.m. Saturday.

The patrol says she and three other teenage girls were riding in a pickup truck near Lindsay about 8:15 p.m. Friday. The 16-year-old driver was headed west on the road at a high rate of speed when she lost control of the truck and hit struck a tree.

The patrol says Elledge was pinned in the vehicle for about 20 minutes before Lindsay firefighters freed her.

The other girls all were transported to a Lindsay hospital, where they were treated and then released.
