OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) – Investigators say a slain suburban Oklahoma City woman, whose body was found in the woods nearly a month after she disappeared, was pregnant at the time of her death.
Oklahoma City Police Sgt. Jennifer Wardlow said Wednesday the medical examiner's office had confirmed that 25-year-old Jaymie Adams of Blanchard was pregnant when she disappeared last month.
Wardlow says the cause of Adams' death is still under investigation.
Adams' body was found Saturday along a bike trail near Lake Stanley Draper. Her husband, Justin Adams, reported his wife missing on Dec. 10.
Wardlow says investigators have no suspects in the woman's death. But an attorney for Justin Adams says police have told his client he is a suspect. Attorney Irven Box says Adams had nothing to do with his wife's death.
