
ALTUS, Okla. – Jackson County authorities are investigating a stabbing at the City of Altus Community Work Center, Thursday night, that sent one inmate to Jackson County Memorial Hospital and landed two others in county jail.
Authorities were called to the work center around 7:30 p.m. Thursday. They say two inmates jumped and stabbed another inmate while he was in the shower.
The victim was taken to Jackson County Memorial Hospital where authorities say he is currently in stable condition.
The work center is part of the State of Oklahoma Department of Corrections. Authorities have not released the names of the suspects and are still searching for a motive behind the stabbing.
