Lawton man sentenced 10 years for child abuse

LAWTON, Okla. – A Lawton man was sentenced to 10 years in prison for abusing his 3-month-old child.

Jeremy Tustin admitted to investigators that he injured the child at least once.  An affidavit says the child had been physically abused from early August to mid- September and had been treated at two hospitals for serious and critical injuries that were in various stages of healing.

In addition to the 10-year sentence, Tustin must also pay a $1,000 fine.

Tustin's wife, Laura, is accused of knowing about the abuse and allowing it to happen.
