WALTERS,OKLa.-Saturday over forty bull riders gathered at the Walters rodeo arena to help remember a murdered loved one and to help her family with funeral expenses.

You may remember Teresa Speir went missing a month ago and two weeks later her body was found near devol. Her neighbor David Daniel was charged with her murder. She left two children behind who now need help to pay for funeral costs and other expenses.

Droves of people poured into the Walters rodeo arena, a testimony to how many lives teresa speir had touched, and just how many loved her and her family.

"For one, me and my sister Amanda are very appreciative of the people that have put their hand out for us and reach out like this and I know a lot of people that are helping put on this bull riding on a personal level and it just shows who your real friends are, especially in a time like this." said her son Chris McCombs.

McCombs has been bull riding for many years, it was something his mother, Teresa and he enjoyed together. Mccombs says even without his mother by his side, he's decided to continue to ride in his mother's memory.

"My mom was always a supporter in everything I've done in my whole life, I did a lot of prayer about what I should do in a situation like this and I've got to live my life but I know that my number one fans always cheering me on from up above and it just gives me peace that I can participate to my fullest."

McCombs says there's not a day that goes by that he doesn't think about his mom, and feels that today reflects how much the community thought of her.

"She can't stop grinning because I know my mom is looking down and cheering me on 110% and she's rooting for me all the way and she's looking out for me and my sister both and it just drives me a little bit harder."
