Person of interest identified in Altus murder

Altus_Police say they have identified a person of interest in last week's murder of Melissa Bost.

He is John Krueger, and police say he has a long criminal history.

In fact, they arrested him Tuesday on an unrelated felony charge.

Investigators also searched his house on Live Oak Street Tuesday, but no word on yet on what they found, or what prompted them to look there.

Bost's body was found one week ago in her car in an alley behind a house in Altus. Investigators said last week they believed she was attacked somewhere else, and the killer ditched the car in the alley. The State Medical Examiner's office says she died from sharp force trauma to her head and neck.
