Former Duncan resident on trial for murder in Kansas

Topeka_Opening arguments got underway in Kansas Thursday in the murder trial of a former Duncan resident. Dana Chandler, 51, is accused of killing her ex-husband and his fiance as they slept in their Topeka, Kansas home in 2002.

She is charged with two counts of premeditated first-degree murder in the slayings.

Prosecutors say Chandler was upset because the two told her they planned to marry.

She was arrested in Duncan last summer--more than nine years after the shootings.

Her trial is expected to last up to a month.
