OSBI agents may have new suspect in the murder of an Anadarko pastor

Posted: Updated:

Anadarko, Okla._A new lead may have surfaced in the unsolved murder of a pastor who killed inside her small church in Anadarko two-and-a-half years ago.

The mother of 61-year-old Carol Daniels said OSBI agents recently asked her about a person in Chicago.

She said investigators spoke to her in January regarding her daughters death.

OSBI spokeswoman Jessica Brown said while she could not discuss suspects in the unsolved slaying she could confirm that leads in the case have taken investigators out of state.

Daniels was found dead August 23, 2009, inside Christ Holy Sanctified Church in Anadarko. The autopsy report said her head was nearly severed, her hair set on fire and had numerous stab wounds and cuts to her body.
