Deion Sanders' estranged wife denies attacking him

McKINNEY, Texas (AP) — Deion Sanders' estranged wife denied Tuesday that she attacked her husband at their home and said she's not getting a fair shake because of her husband's stature in the community as a former star player for the Dallas Cowboys.

Pilar Sanders, a model who has appeared on several television shows, including a 2008 Oxygen network reality series about her and her famous husband's home life, "Deion & Pilar: Prime Time Love," was released Tuesday after spending the night in jail on a misdemeanor domestic assault charge.

A magistrate judge ordered her stay away from their home in the Dallas suburb of Prosper for 60 days and barred her from threatening or harassing her husband, KTVT-TV reported.

Speaking to reporters outside Collin County Jail, Pilar Sanders denied her Hall of Fame husband's allegations, that she and one of her friends attacked him in front of their children in his room on Monday.

"I'm a full-time mom, 100 percent for my children," Sanders said, her voice breaking. "And I just haven't been given a fair shake."

Deion Sanders, who played for five NFL teams and is now an NFL Network analyst, filed for divorce in December, and the breakup has been anything but smooth. The couple has three children together and Deion Sanders has two from a former marriage.

Pilar Sanders is suing her husband, his daughter from his first marriage, Deiondra Sanders, and a business, Prime Time Enterprise Inc., for $200 million in damages. That case is scheduled to go to trial in September. She is also suing her husband's aunt, Laura Jones, alleging Jones assaulted her in February, according to the Dallas Morning News.

Jail records didn't give details about the alleged attack and Prosper police declined to discuss it Tuesday. But Deion Sanders took to Twitter, posting Monday that his children "just witnessed their mother and a friend jump me in my room."

"She's going to jail (and) I'm pressing charges!" Sanders wrote.

He posted another tweet Tuesday with a photo of him and two of his children smiling. "Joy came this morning and we opened the door and let Joy in," Sanders tweeted.

Larry Friedman, Pilar Sanders' divorce attorney, said Tuesday that he can't comment about her arrest because there is a gag order in the divorce case.

"I can tell you that there are two sides to every story and the truth will come out in court," he said in a statement.

Deion Sanders' attorneys did not return messages.
