Distracted Driver Slams into the Back of a Semi Truck

Lawton, OKLa._ A distracted driver slammed into the back of a semi truck along Highway 81 this afternoon just a few miles north of Marlow . Fortunately, the 18-year-old was not severely injured. The crash happened just after four this afternoon at the intersection of County Road 1590 and Highway 81. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the driver who caused the wreck was not paying attention when the large semi pulled out right in front of him. Before he could react, he crashed into the back of the semi truck and totaled his car. O-H-P said that driver suffered a small cut on his leg and may have broken his arm. He was taken to the hospital and released. O-H-P said the driver was given a ticket for being distracted at the wheel but said the driver did not say what he was doing at the time of the crash. The driver of the semi truck was not injured.
