OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - The state medical examiner says a 77-year-old Kingfisher grandmother who was missing for 10 days died of an accidental drowning.
Search crews found Betty Simon's body Saturday morning in her car, which was upside down in a creek. Investigators say they don't suspect foul play.
Oklahoma City television station KOCO reports that Simon's death has been ruled an accident.
She was last seen 10 days earlier at an Oklahoma City rehabilitation hospital. The area where her car was found had been searched previously, but Sheriff John Whetsel says heavy brush kept the car hidden from view.
Nearly 100 volunteers searched the area Saturday and found the car.
