LAWTON, Okla_There was a crowded courtroom today in the Comanche County Courthouse.
They gathered for the swearing in of Carrie Tubbs as county clerk.
Friends, family and co-workers of the longtime county employee congratulated Tubbs after Judge Allen McCall did the honors. She replaces Earlene Shriver who's retiring. Tubbs previously worked in the commissioner's office.
The county clerk handles a vast range of duties, including county records dealing with real estate, mortgages and deeds.
