Shawnee girl still missing after dad allegedly flees police

SHAWNEE, Okla. (AP) - Authorities are continuing their search for a man who allegedly fled with his 3-year-old daughter as Pottawatomie County sheriff's deputies were trying to serve him with a warrant.

Authorities issued an Amber Alert for 3-year-old Chasity Almon after they say her father, 32-year-old Robert Almon drove away with deputies in pursuit Tuesday afternoon. Officers say the boy was later left at a Cleveland County residence unharmed, but Chasity and Almon were still missing Wednesday.

Deputy Brian Wilcox says there haven't been any recent sightings of Chasity, who was wearing a pink shirt and shorts. Wilcox says investigators are talking to family members and others who might know their whereabouts.

Officials say Robert Almon was driving a silver 2007 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck with a license plate number of 225FHP.
