Amarillo, TX - The Potter-Randall Special Crimes unit continues to investigate a shooting at the Huntington Pointe Apartments in southwest Amarillo.

According to reports, an argument broke out between a man and woman around 4:30 Monday afternoon, in a second floor apartment of Building 2.

At some point during the confrontation, gunshots were fired, and both people were hit.

Police say the female victim was driven to the hospital in a personal vehicle, where she is suffering non-life threatening injuries.

Meanwhile, they say the male victim was taken to the hospital by ambulance, suffering from what police believe to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The man later died at the hospital.
